Road Sign Permit
The County of Renfrew operates a Tourism Oriented Destination Signage service. You need to apply for a permit to put up a new sign or to alter an existing sign. Qualifying businesses can apply to have unique signage, including personalized logos that will be placed in the road allowance to direct tourists to their business.
Apply for the tourism sign permit
To apply for a tourism sign permit, complete the Tourism Sign Permit Application and submit it by email to Public Works & Engineering.

Fees
You will need to pay fees for each sign. These fees will be set by the County of Renfrew. The following application fees apply:
- $300 for an attraction locator sign
- $425 for a regular attraction sign
Sign permit conditions
The permit is subject to the following conditions:
- Each sign authorized by the permit will be maintained by the County of Renfrew.
- The permit expires five years from the date of issue.
- If the permit expires without renewal, the County will remove all signs.
- A sign permit may be cancelled at any time for breach of the regulations and conditions of this permit.
- Rights obligations under this permit may be transferred between owners.
- Signs shall be considered for replacement five years after the installation date. If signs are damaged prior to the expiry of the permit, the sign shall be replaced or repaired.
